In 2003, the Clear Lake Authority, with funding from the community and the DCNR Community Conservation Partnership Program, dedicated Clear Lake Park. Repairs to the dam were also made in 2008.

While at the park, check out the view from the old railroad trestle, view the memorial garden and bricks or have a picnic under the pavilions near the Rails to Trail path.

After many months of waiting and piles of paperwork, the East Branch section of Rails to Trails was finally begun and reached completion in 2010. The trail is approximately 3 miles of paved bike and hike access. It stretches from a point about 1.5 miles north of Spartansburg on Route 89, through Spartansburg crossing Route 77 to a point about 1.5 miles south of Spartansburg on Route 89. A section of about 1 mile near the south end also includes a parallel gravel access for horse and buggy use. Parking is available at each end of the trail as well as at the Route 77 access area. No motorized vehicles are permitted on the trail.
